Dr. Lombardo is a licensed clinical psychologist who has worked in a wide range of settings with children, adolescents, adults and families. Dr. Lombardo is skilled in treating anxiety, depression, and interpersonal relationships. He has specific expertise and interest in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, crisis management, and athletic performance. Dr. Lombardo’s work experience includes the school system in Miami FL, residential psychiatry at Bellevue Medical Center, and mobile crisis throughout Brooklyn NY and northern N.J.
Currently, Dr. Lombardo holds an appointment as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science at New York Medical College. He is the team leader of the Dialectical Behavior Therapy Program at the Hudson Valley VA Medical Center, where his responsibilities also include suicide prevention and employee assistance. In 2013 he received the Distinguished Federal Service award for his work in DBT and suicide prevention. In addition to Shoreline Psychological, Dr. Lombardo has been in private practice in Manhattan since 2003 and has been coaching youth sports since 2006. He lives in Fairfield County with his wife and two boys, ages 13 and 10.
