Dr. Litwin is a licensed clinical psychologist who joined Shoreline Psychological in 2016.. She specializes in compassionate, evidence-based cognitive-behavior therapy treatments for a range of psychological difficulties. Dr. Litwin has gained extensive training in the application of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based treatments, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She has experience treating children, adolescents, adults, and families for anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma, personality disorders, chronic suicidality, self-harm behaviors, and parent training. Dr. Litwin has provided treatment in a wide variety of settings, including community mental health centers, hospitals, university-research clinics, and a university counseling center. She has provided school-based workshops on childhood and adolescent emotional and behavior problems, and on DBT and Risk Assessment at Yale New Haven and Middlesex Hospitals.
Dr. Litwin received her undergraduate degree from McGill University and Doctorate from La Salle University. She completed her pre-doctoral clinical internship at Yale University School of Medicine where she obtained extensive training in DBT and post-doctoral clinical internship at CBT Westport, LLC.
