Lucy Faulkner joins Shoreline Psychological as a Professional Counselor Associate. Ms. Faulkner has a diverse background in clinical training. Prior to graduate school, Lucy worked as an ABA provider with children on the autism spectrum. During graduate school, she trained in both individual and group therapies with a focus on substance abuse. Her graduate training led her to train in evidence-based trauma treatment through the Trauma Resilience and Recovery Program at the Medical University of South Carolina. Ms. Faulkner utilizes a variety of approaches uniquely tailored for each client, including: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and several trauma treatments including Prolonged Exposure, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Ms. Faulkner works with people across the lifespan and has a particular interest in working with couples.
Ms. Faulkner received her B.S. in psychology at College of Charleston before earning her M.A. in Clinical Counseling from The Citadel in Charleston South Carolina. She recently moved back to the Shoreline.
