Allison Parente
Post-Doctoral Fellow

Dr. Allison Parente joins Shoreline Psychological as a Postdoctoral Fellow. Allison has extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused work with children, adolescents, and young adults. Allison is integrative in her approach to treatment utilizing a wide-range of evidence-based interventions to help clients navigate challenges such as mood, anxiety, trauma, and behavioral disorders. Her clinical expertise emphasizes the integration of psychodynamic principles with cognitive-behavioral techniques. She has trained across multiple settings including schools, community clinics, and hospitals. She has worked at NYU Child Study Center, New York Presbyterian, the Westchester Behavioral Health children and adolescent acute inpatient units, and the Fairleigh Dickinson University Center for Psychological Services. Dr. Parente received her undergraduate degree from Fordham University and her doctorate from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at New York City Children’s Center, where she worked with individuals presenting with serious mental health concerns in both the inpatient and outpatient psychiatric setting.
