Lucy Faulkner, LPC

Lucy Faulkner is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) who joined Shoreline Psychological in 2019 where she completed her postgraduate clinical training. Ms. Faulkner has a diverse background in clinical training. Ms. Faulkner obtained her Bachelors of science in Psychology from the College of Charleston during which she worked as an ABA provider with children on the Autism Spectrum. She continued her education obtaining a Masters in Psychology with a focus on clinical counseling from The Citadel in 2019. During the course of her graduate work, Ms. Faulkner was intensively trained in Cognitive Behavioral therapy with a focus on evidence-based trauma treatment, specializing in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Prolonged Exposure (PE). Since joining Shoreline Psychological Ms. Faulkner has been intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and DBT-PE, primarily treating young adults, adolescents, and their families. Ms. Faulkner’s work spans many different modalities, including individual, family, parenting, and group therapies. Ms. Faulkner uses evidenced-based treatments to treat a variety of clinical needs, including anxiety, depression, OCD, borderline personality disorder, and those who struggle with emotional dysregulation. Ms. Faulkner helped develop and implement a school-baed wellness program as well as a Coping Skills group for tweens and young teens struggling with anxiety and depression.
