Ariela Reder, Psy.D.

Clinical Director

Dr. Reder, licensed clinical psychologist, joins Shoreline Psychological as Clinical Director after having been the director of a counseling center at a local university.  Dr. Reder has extensive experience working with adolescents, young adults, couples, and families.  She has been providing evidenced-based treatment for over 20 years and has dedicated her career to working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, relationships, and identity issues including working with members of the LGBTQA+ community. Dr Reder is trained in both CBT and DBT. She believes that we are all capable of achieving change and growth. She works collaboratively with individuals to establish trust and strives to create a warm, supportive environment that utilizes the therapeutic relationship to encourage change and bring individuals to a fuller awareness of themselves and their relationships. Through exploration of the past and present, clients can recognize meaningful patterns that impact their relationships, academic performance, and overall emotional and physical well-being.

Dr Reder received her BA in psychology from Haifa University and her PsyD in clinical psychology from Wright State University School of Professional Psychology. She moved to the Connecticut Shoreline with her family in 2020.
